The Goal of our 5-day Trial Period

Liberty Saddlery LLC offers a 5-day trial period on all saddles to ensure that our customers (and their horses) are happy with each saddle purchase.

Saddle trials are offered to our US customers only. All international orders are final sale only.

  1. You are responsible for the safekeeping of the saddle until the end of the trial period or until the saddle is received back at Liberty Saddlery LLC. If the saddle is lost, stolen, damaged, or broken, the sale is considered final. If the saddle is blemished, marked, scratched, or scuffed there will be a minimum charge.

  2. The 5-day trial begins the day the saddle is delivered to you. If you decide to return the saddle, you must notify us that the saddle is being returned (through an email or text). This written communication must be sent before or upon completion of the 5-­day trial. On the sixth day, the saddle becomes your property.

  3. All pre­owned saddles are sold as is. All photos are taken in optimum lighting to bring to light any existing conditions. All measurements are in the product listing of the saddle and documented in our photos. Please contact us for the full album of the saddle.

  4. The customer will not hold Liberty Saddlery LLC liable for any safety defects of the saddle. All saddles are sold in pre­owned condition and we offer a 5-day trial so that our customers have the opportunity to check over the saddles either themselves or with a trainer or saddler. Liberty Saddlery LLC is not to be held liable for an injury caused by a defective or faulty saddle.

  5. If you decide to send the saddle back after a trial, it must be with UPS on its way back by the 5th day of the trial. If this day falls on Sunday, the saddle may be dropped off with UPS the following Monday. Print out and use the return shipping label we provide to you (via email) and drop the saddle off at any UPS Store or UPS access point.

  6. Please save the box in which the saddle arrives and use it to return the saddle to us. If you use this same box, all return shipments are covered by Liberty Saddlery LLC and include full insurance, as we will email you a return shipping label (PDF) that you can print out and put on the box. Cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

  7. Once we get the saddle back and inspect it, we will contact you within 1 business day. There is no restocking fee at all if you used PayPal Friends or Venmo. However, if you paid using PayPal Goods & Services, Venmo Purchase Protection or a standard credit card through the site, there will be a minimal restocking fee of 3.5%.

  8. If the saddle comes back to us and it is not in the same condition in which it left because it is dirty and requires cleaning, there will be a $50 cleaning fee.
