How We Operate & Terms of Agreement

By agreeing to consign with Liberty Saddlery LLC, you are agreeing to allow ONLY Liberty Saddlery to sell your saddle.

You are agreeing you will not post the item yourself, unless you are sharing a post or listing we've made.

As a Consignor, you will ship to our business mailing address at YOUR expense.

Until further notice, you must use UPS or FedEx ONLY to ship your saddle to us. USPS does NOT deliver to our shop. Your saddle will NOT be picked up from the Post Office.

We highly recommend you ship your saddle in a HEAVY DUTY box. Use adequate packing material to fill all air gaps. DO NOT USE PACKING PEANUTS! If you send your saddle with loose packing peanuts a $100 fee will be deducted from your payout or added to restocking fee.

If a saddle is not photo shoot ready upon arrival, a $25 cleaning fee will be issued. If a saddle requires more than a basic cleaning to prepare, a $40 cleaning fee will be issued.

Launder your saddle cover before shipping! Dirty saddle covers will be issued a $25 cleaning fee.

Do NOT wrap your saddle in old blankets (especially those covered in pet hair!) A cleaning/disposal fee will be issued.

Saddles that are sent without a brand specific cover will be sold with a water resistant lined cover at cost and deducted from payout.

We will fully market, sell and ship out your saddle on your behalf. We will discuss pricing with you before your saddle is listed for sale.

Liberty Saddlery offers fully paid 5-day trials on all saddles to prospective customers within the United States of America.

If you take back your consigned saddle at any point, a $75 restocking fee is owed to Liberty Saddlery.

BEST ESTIMATE CLAUSE: Consignor agrees that it is understood there is NO GUARANTEE that a saddle will sell. Any time estimate given that is expressed to the Consignor is a Liberty Saddlery best estimate.

After a saddle is sold, Liberty Saddlery will pay out funds within 5 days. Consignor agrees to receive funds via PayPal. (A business check can be written for certain circumstances, subject to office fee.)
Our Commission Structure
We use a tiered commission structure to ensure a minimum. As we expand and move forward, the cost of doing business is also increasing. Due to that, we are now offering our clients two options for our commission structure, while still keeping our rates below average. Please note, our business model includes many local face to face sales in which credit card processing fees are never a factor. By consigning your saddle with Liberty Saddlery LLC, you are agreeing to the following percentages to be kept from the final sale:
Our commission structure, as followed, is listed with the product type and Liberty's commission amount.
You have two payment options for saddle sales over $999, as shown below:
1) Pay processing fees for a lower introductory commission rate, OR
2) Lock in the slightly higher commission rate and pay no processing fees.
Saddle sale of $999 or under:
$225 Flat Rate (Liberty Saddlery absorbs processing fees)
Saddle sale of $1,000 - $1,600 :

19% if sold under 90 days, 22% after (Client absorbs processing fees)

22% (Liberty Saddlery absorbs processing fees)
Saddle sale of $1,601 and above:

17% if sold under 90 days, 20% after (Client absorbs processing fees)

20% (Liberty Saddlery absorbs processing fees)
Accessory or non-saddle item:
Flat 35% commission
Accessories
Items must be of a $75 value or above and MUST BE APPROVED BY US BEFORE BEING SENT FOR SALE. Please note, accessories are marketed on a weekly basis in the sales list, but do not receive as much attention as the saddle sales.
Fittings Clause
We do NOT accept “fittings” (e.g. Stirrups and Leathers) with your saddle. IF you send fittings in with your saddle, Liberty Saddlery LLC is not responsible for the care and storage of said fittings.
Exceptions

Gullet plates / Gullet plate systems can be sent with adjustable tree saddles and will be sold with the saddle.

Any cover sent with the saddle will be sold and sent with said saddle.
Cancellation of Consignment Agreement, including any rendered consignment services

You will be responsible for a Restocking fee, which is a CARE, CUSTODY, AND CONTROL COST - a $75 fee owed for cleaning & conditioning your saddle, storing your saddle, and our time invested in photographing & marketing your saddle.

If you have shipped your saddle, you are responsible for the costs of shipping your saddle back to your residence.

It is your responsibility to insure your saddle for protection and coverage of any possible damage through the carrier you use.
